Sisterhood is sponsoring a 4-part speaker series focused on raising Jewish kids in these challenging times. For parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and anyone with kids in their lives, each session will explore a facet of how to support and nurture the Jewishness in our children. During the one-hour session, each speaker will be providing insights on the topic as well as discussion and time for Q&A.

The wider Jewish community is invited to join us! The sessions are timed so that parents with kids in religious schools across the Capital District can drop them off, join the session and still make it back in time for pick up. Come join us, grab a cup of coffee/tea, a nosh and a seat for what will be informative and fascinating discussions.

Save the dates and plan on join us in person at Beth Emeth on the following Sunday mornings at 10:00 am:

December 17, 2023: Raising Jewish Kids in an Age of Antisemitism
Rabbi Greg Weitzman will be leading this session. The growing levels of antisemitism in the US and our community means our kids are being exposed to this harsh environment ever earlier. What can we do to prepare and support our kids (and ourselves) to this unfortunately growing reality?

January 21, 2023: Raising Well Adjusted Jewish Kids
Amie Bloom will be leading this session. What should we be thinking about and doing to raise well adjusted Jewish kids?

February 11, 2024: How to Educate Our Kids to Love Judaism and Stay Jewish
What can we be doing to educate and instill a love of Judaism in our kids that will make them want to continue our traditions and stay Jewish when they leave home, meet their soul mate, and start families of their own?

March 10, 2024: Raising Interfaith Jewish Children
What are the challenges of raising our kids as Jews in an interfaith environment?
