A Zoom discussion of the film, directed by Eytan Rockaway and starring Harvey Keitel, portraying Meyer Lansky, known as the “Mob’s Accountant,” notorious for operating criminal rackets from Miami to Las Vegas to Cuba and playing a role in the establishment of the “National Crime Syndicate.” The story focuses on Lansky in the latter part of his life, telling his story to a book author. The film is up front about the importance of Jewishness to Lansky’s story.
