A film taking place in Montreal 1948, where a chance reunion of two Holocaust survivors, one a deeply
religious man, the other a skeptical journalist who has turned his back on God, leads to a searing examination of
good and evil. One reveals that he lost his wife and sons, the other divulges he too lost his relatives in warfare and
is the only surviving member.

The tremendous agony they have suffered has left a rage fuming within both of them and manifests itself in their harsh words. The film takes an intimate view of friendship to attempt to understand what links two individuals.
